The Night at the Arena 26x26 wild rag is a silk and TENCEL™ Lyocell western scarf featuring a hometown rodeo arena scene in bright pink, blue and orange, with a bronc rider, the chute gates and Legacy Arena lettering. Hand-drawn original artwork by Tirzah Lane.

The 26x26 is our smaller wild rag, made from natural silk blended with plant-based TENCEL™ Lyocell. It has a soft, matte finish and a lighter feel for summer and year-round wear, and it is thinner and more see-through than our 35x35. It is printed on both sides, so there is no white back when worn, and finished with a rolled hem.

How to wear it: Tie it at the neck for everyday wear, riding, rodeos or ranch work, wear it in your hair, or knot it on a bag. Looking for knot ideas? The Wild Rag Tying Guide by Tirzah Lane shows 25 styles and comes as a digital download or a printed guide.

Common questions

What is the difference between the 26x26 and the 35x35?
The 26x26 is smaller, in silk and TENCEL™ Lyocell with a soft matte look, and makes a great everyday piece. The 35x35 is the traditional wild rag size, in 100% mulberry silk with a sheen. It is more versatile, ties more complex knots and makes more of a statement.

Is it thin or see-through?
The 26x26 is thinner and more see-through than the 35x35, which gives it a lighter feel for summer and year-round wear.

Do the colors fade or bleed?
Colors do not bleed and hold their color when hand washed in cold water as directed.

Does it wrinkle?
Wild rags are made from natural fibers, so they wrinkle. Roll it when packing, hang it when you are not wearing it, and steam it to remove larger wrinkles quickly.

Each scarf arrives in a protective sleeve, wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a branded sticker. The 26x26 is a common gift choice for birthdays, weddings, the rider in your life, Christmas and the holidays, or just because. This design is also available as a 35x35 wild rag.

Shortie Wild Rag Scarves FAQs

A shortie wild rag is a smaller version of a traditional wild rag scarf. It offers the same western style and versatility but in a more compact size that is easier to wear for everyday outfits.

Our shortie wild rags are made of a silk/tencel blend

Yes! With our wild rags we commit to:

  • Our fabrics are certified biodegradable or recyclable
  • Toxin free, no formaldehyde, metals, or pesticides
  • Eco-friendly with non-toxic inks and prioritize zero waste designs

The difference is the size and material of each option. We have large and shortie wild rags.

Our Large wild rags are 35x35 inches and are made of 100% mulberry silk. While urshortie wild rags are 26x26 inches and are a silk/tencel blend.

Yes, wild rags are warm. The silk in the blend naturally insulates while remaining breathable, making it ideal for protecting your neck from wind and cold without feeling heavy.

On the flipside they will still keep you cool in the summer since the silk is naturally breathable.

To wash a wild rag, gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid wringing the fabric and lay flat or hang to dry to maintain its quality.

Shortie wild rags make a great gift because they are stylish, lightweight, and easy to wear. They are a thoughtful option for anyone who loves western fashion or versatile accessories.

We typically do a few restocks for each wild rag, but to ensure you get the one you want we recommend ordering the one you have your eye on when it's in stock, we do retire designs.
